The objective: To identify and propose a solution to an area of the app which users may not find interesting.

App Overview

Aarogya Setu is a mobile application developed by the Government of India to connect essential health services with the people of India in the fight against COVID-19. The App is aimed at proactively reaching out to and informing the users of the app regarding risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19.

My Role

As an interaction design student, I took up this assignment to understand the current problems of this specific application, ideating various solutions and finally, choosing the best viable solution and designing it.

User Feedback

There was a plentitude of user feedback available mainly in the form of reviews from the Google Play Store as well as the Apple Appstore. Several ideas were obtained on the basis of this research and these could possibly be used to improve the products home page experience. The critical issues or pain-points, discovered through the feedback research were:

  1. Complex home UI where the user had to wait several seconds to understand the complete scenario W.R.T the nearby positive and critical patients in terms of distance. (500m, 1Km, 2Km, 5Km and 10Km)
